I’ve known since I was a very little girl; the power of words.
When simple syllables turned from “come on…” to “I knew you could do it!”
The most important people and relationships blossomed from the power of single syllables, threads of words and into stories and novels.
I remember the first happy birthday, I heard from my mom when I was four years old. The first “I love you,” from my dad and the first time my heart was broken revolved around those words when the man I loved more than life itself, exited mine.
Armed with that knowledge, I became obsessed with conversation, quotes, books and songs.
A Fire is lit inside my soul with the repeat of certain words, the healing fire of love and devotion.
Who do you think of when you hear the words by Dylan Thomas,” Though lovers be lost, love shall not; and death shall have no dominion.”
Can you see a face, a scene a season?
“I hold a beast, an angel, and a madman in me.”
“Dark is a way and light is a place, heaven that never was nor will ever be is always true.”
How have words impacted your life? Leave me a comment, quote, song or book and let me know about the fire in your heart.
